WHY NOW? 

When police perform to the standards and expectations of their jobs which includes respect, integrity, and professionalism of a highly-trained public servant, law abiding citizens are naturally inclined to respect, cooperate, and support the police that serve them; thus, making the relationships a win-win for all law-abiding parties involved. 

CURRENT REALITY

Police and citizens view each other as strangers, adversaries, and threats - this has to change and this change must come from civic participation through programs and activities that citizens oversee, i.e. Know Your Cops Advocates.
